Central Point sits in the heart of the Rogue Valley. The population is currently estimated just under 18,000 people. The world-famous Rogue Creamery and Lillie Belle Farms Artisan Chocolates are located in Central Point, as well as Dogs for Better Lives, Crater Rock Museum, the Grange Co-op, and Erickson Air Crane.
Excellent medical facilities are available in Central Point and neighboring cities of Medford and Ashland. The Central Point school system, recognized for its many innovative programs, is comprised of Crater High School, Scenic Middle School, and three elementary schools.
The scenic Rogue River, the Pacific Crest Trail, and numerous mountains, lakes and wilderness areas provide recreational opportunities are all close by and easily accessed.
The area is said to have a “Mediterranean climate” with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The “warm season” (mid-June to mid-September) has an average daily temperature in the mid-80s and the “cold season” (mid-November to mid-February) has an average daily temperature in the low 50s.
